World Forest Day

Updated: Mar 22, 2023

Today's forests occupy more than 30% of the world's land and are home to over 60,000 tree species, many of which are still unknown. For approximately 1.6 billion of the world's poorest people, including indigenous people with a distinct culture, forests provide them with food, fibre, water, and medicine. Forests are the most biologically complex habitats on the planet, comprising more than 80% of the terrestrial animal, plant, and insect species. Forestry like other branches of agriculture is a significant field that needs public attention. The world Forest day celebration offers a great opportunity for everyone to learn more about their role in preserving people's well-being. Forests play an important role in collecting and releasing water on the planet, as well as preserving the flora and fauna ecosystem balance. Forests are a natural wonder of the world that must be protected in order to keep things in harmony. So, let's start planting more trees and quit deforestation.
